ABOUT THE STATUES

• His wavy hair is tied into a topknot and falls in wavy rows across his shoulders.
• The heavy-lidded almond-shaped eyes are elegantly arched beneath sharp-edged brows, a fine aquiline molded nose and a bow-shaped mouth with thick lips, and a pronounced urna at the forehead.
• The statue is a museum replica of Seated Maitreya, an Ancient region of Gandhara, 2nd-4th century.

CARE FOR THE SCULPTURE
